EXAMS ARE ALMOST OVER!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!
But not quite...

Three week of studying for the exams, and with one day to go, my brain has refused to take in anymore information.

Coming out of the biology exam on monday gave the expressions the grass is always greener in the other side of the fence and writer's block a whole new meaning. Before the exams started on monday, i was already hoping they were over, so that i wouldn't have to spend time worrying about them. Life prior exams is boring and very dull. Life post exams is a different story all together, it may even be greener?! Well that's what i'm telling myself anyway.

There is nothing, nothing that can prepare you or your preferred writing hand for answering nineteen pages of questions. In the stress of having to answer all questions, your brain (well my brain did) has/had a massive mental blank. Of all times for this could occur, it needed to be during an exam..

Well now i'm trying desperately to muster all my strength to convince my brain to take in just one more day of studying. Hence this blog post, so that i, or my brain could do the reflection part and then hopefully take some sort of action, hopefully in the form of some solid studying.

Rain.Rain.Rain.Rain

Praise God for the rain!

Since Friday it's been raining pretty hard and now everything looks green! Not dying patches of grass with more dirt visible, but actual real grass. ^^ Actually this reminds me of something..the other day i was in my mum's car when the car stopped at the traffic lights and right in the middle of the road, the built -up part that has grass and tress growing, all the real grass was replaced with the synthetic lawn stuff. But the funny thing was that the edges had some random weeds growing from it and reminded me of how humans are constantly trying to make an artificial substitute to everything that is on the planet, but despite how hard we try mother nature always pushes us aside.

When the end of winter came i foolishly reflected that it would be nice and warm and probably not rain, having been forced to wear winter uniform for two terms i couldn't wait for the warmer weather that spring is associated with and wear summer uniform instead. If you are a school girl you can probably relate. Winter uniform takes ages to put on every morning compared to summer uniform which is just a dress and socks.

Even in close-to-waterless Melbourne, some areas have experience flooding!!! Five out of the ten water catchments in Victoria are now more than 50% full. With the upcoming fire season predicted to be worse than this year's black Saturday, thanks be to God for the rain. For the rain that fills up the catchments, for the rain which brings relief to the dry earth and the trees, for the rain which falls on your faces and washes the pain of the seemingly-endless drought.

Amen.

LiFe In SePtEmBeR hOlIdAyS

As the heading sums up, the holidays so far have been a bit all over the place.

Normally the school holidays marks freedom from school. At least for the first week then homework seems to nag at the back of your mind and you find yourself unconsciously doing homework. Normally i would be traveling with family to some remote town in the mountains and skiing since it is the September holidays, but not this holidays.

Fate has had it that i moved school this year, to a school that decides to have its exams in early November. Fate has had it that i am in the middle of finding myself. Finding my way to school. Finding new friends at my new school. Finding myself in a new suburb as my family is in the process of moving house. And in all of this, I'm finding a new me coming out of all this finding.

As the bell for period six rang on Friday and heralded the start of the holidays, i felt myself actually confused over what these holidays would bring. Friends from both my current and previous school had promised to have rencontres, the new house my family just bought screamed to be renovated and my studies demanded that i spend at least some time revising for the upcoming exams. Not to mention a part of me which just wanted time to finish the numerous craft projects i started last holidays and to read a few good books.

Lost with all these 'calls', i decided to make a to-do-list. To-do-lists are very useful, they allow you to organise your time evenly over the various 'to-dos', remind you of what you have to do and also scare you that time would be your greatest enemy and that you wouldn't have a hope of finishing it all. Even the mere sight of my 'to-do-list' is imposing on the wall. The dark green texta all mixing to form a massive green blur. Maybe it's time to get glasses...
